For Finnish furniture maker Nikari, wood is both material and philosophy. Founded in 1967 by master cabinetmaker Kari Virtanen, the company produces chairs, tables and benches from sustainably sourced Nordic timber at its Fiskars workshop. Traditional joinery and remarkably restrained forms allow the grain, structure and natural beauty of the wood to take centre stage.
